It's easy to fully enjoy your winter holiday on our farm in the Großarltal valley, because there's plenty of snow and countless opportunities for you to experience the white splendour. Sporty types will be lured into the fresh mountain air to indulge in skiing, snowboarding, ski touring and contemplative winter and snowshoe hikes can immerse themselves in the beauty of the mountains of Großarl.
The cross-country ski trail is only 3 minutes from our farm, and stretch of the trail is illuminated in the evening as a night trail for those with boundless energy. Family fun is guaranteed by several natural toboggan runs, and even a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride should feature on your “not to be missed” list on your winter holiday in Großarl in Salzburg.
Guests can also join the guided snowshoe hikes offered by the Hotel Alte Post free of charge.

Ski fun in the Großarl-Dorfgastein ski area!

The ski bus stops right outside our farm every 15 minutes, and transports all skiing enthusiasts directly to the entrance to the Großarl-Dorfgastein ski area. Ultimate skiing pleasure on over 80 km of perfectly groomed slopes, and it is part of the Ski amadè association of ski areas, which in total offer an incredible 760 km of pistes. Guaranteed snow, state-of-the-art lifts, an incredible variety of slopes and, of course, cosy mountain huts will make your skiing holiday in Großarl an unforgettable experience!

What could be better than relaxing in the warmth of the Finnish sauna in our wellness area after an active day on the pistes and trails. Our guests can also use the indoor pool at the Hotel Alte Post free of charge (c. 5 minutes’ walk away).
